What is there to say? I’m odd, strange, quirky, weird, geeky, and… even slightly more crazed than that. I’m a writer, photographer, marketing specialist, web developer, and avid reader.
I’m one of the owners of Sirens Call Publications, and proud to say it’s going strong, growing by leaps and bounds, and running me straight into the ground!
I’m one of the co-founders and a Damned member of Pen of the Damned, a writing group for angsty, morbid, horror types.
And if that isn’t enough, I’m the owner of Dark Angel Photography. As acting head-anarchist, my passions drive me to be an UrbEx adventurer, cemetery stalker, and lover of all things being reclaimed by nature and decay. Find me a spot off the beaten path, and I’m a happy gal.
Other than that, I’m around; find me, follow me, stalk me, talk to me, or don’t – I’m good either way.

Speaking of which, do you have any full-length stories in the works? I’m doing the next big thing and wondered if you had a work-in-progress you’d like to showcase…?

Unfortunately, the WIP I have at the moment will never see the light of day. I tend to keep the longer pieces to myself. I’ll be happy to do it on The Road to Nowhere, but if it requires the author to be working on a publishable piece, then mine wouldn’t qualify. 😦

My writing isn’t always dark either, but horror and dark emotive pieces are my preference. Thank you for the compliments, and I’ll be sure to read your recommended posts as soon as I can. It is always a pleasure to say ‘hello’ and meet someone else who writes, dark or not. 😉
Joe Pinto, he is a superb writer – as are all the members of Pen of the Damned, but there is nothing cute or fuzzy over there! LOL
If you enjoy dark writing, check it out when you have a chance – the badge and link are on my side bar here ~~~~>

Seems we have a bit in common. I too am a lighter person who loves to dwell in the shadows. I find fear and darkness compelling. The adrenaline fear provides is a rush like no other. I like your other project pen of the damned as well. Before I started writing poetry, my focus was on dark flash fiction. If you get a chance check out my site JMC813 and the “Haunted Chronicles” category. A couple faves are “Bloody Mary”, “The Girl In The Window” and “The Widow Black”.
Okay enough self promo…lol. Came here by way of your comment on my picture prompt at Debs site. Thanks for commenting. I hope to read more of your stuff very soon.

Hi John! Thank you for coming by. I will definitely stop by your site to have a look at your darker fiction. And thanks for finding and mentioning Pen of the Damned! I co-founded the group with another writer in 2012, and its been a great project so far. We’re working on an anthology for the group at the moment that has me very excited. There is nothing like a good horror tale to get the blood pumping and imagination going. I often wonder why it is such an unappreciated genre by those who aren’t die-hard fans. Almost anyone will read a good mystery, but put a really well written horror novel in front of them – even if it’s intelligent, psychological horror – and they shy away. They just don’t know what they are missing… 😉
Thanks for swinging over from Words Across the Ocean – Debs is doing a great job with the picture prompt blog project, and I’m enjoying a great number of the pieces I’m finding there – yours is one of them. I’ll be lurking around when the opportunity presents itself, rest assured!!
~ Nina 🙂
