Do you hear it?
It’s one of the things I love most.
Lost in my own thoughts, nothing intrudes.
Solely mine when I am alone.
Do you hear it?
… it’s quiet.

About Nina D'Arcangela
Nina D’Arcangela is a quirky horror writer who likes to spin soul rending snippets of despair. She reads anything from splatter matter to dark matter. She's an UrbEx adventurer who suffers from unquenchable wanderlust. She loves to photograph abandoned places, bits of decay and old grave yards.
Nina is a co-owner of Sirens Call Publications, a co-founder of the horror writer's group 'Pen of the Damned', founder and administrator of the Ladies of Horror Picture-prompt Monthly Writing Challenge, and if that isn't enough, put a check mark in the box next to owner and resident nut-job of Dark Angel Photography.

I like quiet. Hard to find. Good to enjoy when we can. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Oh how I love those times when the only sound is that of my own thinking, 🙂

I live quiet. Most of the time, anyway. Sometimes, though, I find it unsettling.

Quiet is a state of mind for me, not just the absence of sound or others; and it comes far too infrequently. Thanks reading my ramble! 🙂

In this day and age, not many folks dig the quiet. Scary that it’s becoming a lost art.

This is my simple, deconstructed post. No fancy words, a few lines quietly told, but it does still resonate for me. Thank you, Leslie, I always appreciate your kind and generous comments. 🙂
