“K’ant make it fit!”
“Really? Why can’t you make it fit?”
“Don’t know, k’ant seem to do it…”
“Well, that’s a square peg.”
“Yeah, and I k’ant get it through the hole.”
“That’s because it’s a round hole.”
“That’s what I’m saying. I k’ant get it!”
“You can’t fit a square peg in a round hole.”
“K’ant ya? Seems to me that would depend.”
“On the peg and the whole.”
“K’ant argue with that.”

About Nina D'Arcangela
Nina D’Arcangela is a quirky horror writer who likes to spin soul rending snippets of despair. She reads anything from splatter matter to dark matter. She's an UrbEx adventurer who suffers from unquenchable wanderlust. She loves to photograph abandoned places, bits of decay and old grave yards.
Nina is a co-owner of Sirens Call Publications, a co-founder of the horror writer's group 'Pen of the Damned', founder and administrator of the Ladies of Horror Picture-prompt Monthly Writing Challenge, and if that isn't enough, put a check mark in the box next to owner and resident nut-job of Dark Angel Photography.

Funny 🙂 I love the interplay in words. There’s this whole change-up going on that I love. Nice!

Thank you, Eric! I just sat down and can’t with a K popped into my head, after that, it had to be silly to work. 🙂

Reminded me of my 7th graders papers that I get to grade each day. Lol I might use this in a lesson…

Well, it is good sound logic… for a 7th grader. LOL Feel free to snarf it up! Cute and quirky as it is, the underlying message is that perception defines most things. 🙂

This reminds me of Roethke’s collection, I Am! Said the Lamb. K’ant shares the same sweetness and cleverness of phrasing as the pieces in that collection. Nicely done!

Thank you, Aniko! I’ve been wondering where you’ve been hiding 🙂 This was a fun little piece to clear my mind. I have some heavy writing to do, so a little playful brain scrub was in order. “Just” is pretty much the same thing, a brain cleanser. 😉
